The expression “Yo Bro” is very popular. Today it is used in practically every language. It has become so common that it has a special day. In fact, May 24th is the International Brother’s day. When we say “Bro”, we do not only mean brother. We also mean BFF or even just good friend. We mean a relationship built on trust and time passed together. Bros stand by each other. They represent support, acceptance and respect. Our Bros understand us like no one else.

But did you know that this widely used expression comes from the surfing and skateboarding culture? It is so famous that many words have been invented with “bro”. For example, a bro-hug is a hug among friends, a bro-bro is a super close friend, a Broccasion is the anniversary or a bro’s special event, the Brojo is the special and strong connection or vibe between two bros, a Brotastic is an amazing or spectacular thing or event… last and certainly not least: Yobro means hello, or a greeting between bros

How to celebrate Bro’s Day

The best way is to spend some time with your bro! Organize a party. Go out with them. Do something normal that is special. Remember to take a selfie and post it on hashtag #BrothersDay to let everyone know that you are hanging out with your bros today.
